I devoured this book in one sitting.
I never had a book bring me from laugh out loud joy to tears of empathy in the span of a few short pages—over and over again. This story about an old timer priest worrying about his legacy and the upstart head of the Planned Parenthood upholding progressive social mores will have your emotions careening from one vantage point to the other. Manzo does a masterful job of weaving this tale with just the right timing. The protagonists and supporting characters are so lifelike and appealing that you’ll wish you knew them.
Most of all, the emotional uplifting aura this story leaves you with is something you’ll appreciate. I haven’t had a good read like An Irish Lullaby in quite a while. I’m reading it again.
